• Social Media Profiles: LinkedIn, Twitter/X, GitHub, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or other established social platforms
• Professional Profiles: Company websites, organization pages, or professional directory listings
• Content Creator Pages: Blog sites, Medium profiles, Substack, or other content platforms
• Academic & Research Profiles: University pages, ResearchGate, ORCID, or academic institution profiles

2. URL Requirements

All author URLs must meet the following technical and content requirements:

• Public Accessibility: URLs must be publicly accessible without requiring login or special permissions
• Functional Links: URLs must lead to active, working websites or profiles
• Author Representation: The linked content should clearly represent the actual author or creator of the prompt
• Direct Links: No redirect chains, URL shorteners, or suspicious intermediary links
• Secure Connections: HTTPS is strongly preferred for security and trust
• Content Relevance: The linked profile or website should relate to the author's professional or creative identity

3. Prohibited URLs

The following types of URLs are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal:

• Malicious Content: Spam, phishing, malware, or any potentially harmful websites
• Inappropriate Material: Adult content, explicit material, or content violating community standards
• Broken Links: Non-functional, expired, or dead links
• Unrelated Content: URLs that don't represent or relate to the prompt author
• Commercial Exploitation: Affiliate links, referral links, or URLs primarily for commercial gain unrelated to authorship
• Temporary Links: Disposable URLs, temporary file sharing links, or short-lived content

4. Best Practices for Authors

To maintain the highest quality and build trust with the PromptPlex community, we recommend:

• Primary Professional Profile: Use your main professional or creative profile that best represents your work
• Identity Consistency: Ensure your author URL reflects the same identity and name used in your PromptPlex profile
• Regular Maintenance: Keep your linked profiles updated and ensure continued functionality
• Professional Presentation: Maintain a professional appearance on your linked profiles
• Contact Information: Include clear contact methods on your linked profiles for collaboration opportunities
• Content Quality: Ensure your linked profiles showcase quality work that reflects your expertise

5. Verification Process

PromptPlex implements a verification process to maintain URL quality and security:

• Initial Review: All author URLs are reviewed upon submission for compliance with these guidelines
• Periodic Verification: We may periodically check author URLs to ensure continued functionality and compliance
• Community Reporting: Users can report problematic URLs through our reporting system
• Automated Monitoring: We use automated tools to detect broken links and potentially harmful content
• Manual Review: Flagged URLs undergo manual review by our moderation team

6. Non-Compliance and Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in the following actions:

6.1 Minor Violations

• URL Removal: Non-compliant URLs will be removed from the author profile
• Author Notification: Authors will receive notification explaining the violation and steps to correct it
• Grace Period: Authors have 30 days to provide a compliant replacement URL
